ALICE IN WONDERLAND

March 11, 2010

ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Yeah, I know, everytime people think of Tim Burton they visualize swirly things and crooked windows, but hey, it's a style. I don't have a problem with people who dislike Burton movies, many of us have our preferences. But honestly, please don't trash a film that you haven't seen. It's like me knowing you like anime, and saying I am never coming to your house because the decor of your room is just going to be awful. Does that makes any sense? Anyway, to make a long story short, I experienced one of the most important things I strive for in watching a movie - I was entertained. Another thing I really appreciate is good art direction, and every inch of this film is packed full of fun characters and interesting imagery to look at. Just like "2012", you could watch the movie again and see different things.

Even though it is somewhat similar, yet vastly different from the book (sorry, I haven't read the book in years) or so my sources tell me. So ultimately, if you hate Tim Burton, quit complaining and see something else. If you want something perfectly by the book, then don't see it. But if you like to have fun with your imagination, and just want an escape, then I truly recommend it. - CLAM
