TWILIGHT: ECLIPSE
Once again I say that men should not be made to watch these movies, and shame on you women for making them! I tried to find a lady to do this review simply because I knew it would be monotonous for me and maybe a little unfair, but please take that into account as you read this.
Now, I do love vampires and werewolves - there are so many fun and exciting films out there. And don’t let me quell someone’s creativity, Stephenie Meyer’s take on this world is different, but all this lovie dovie stuff is just sickening for me. The ten or so minute fight scene was actually pretty darn good, but that was about it for me. But hey, if you’re a teen aged girl, then I say go for it!

I listened to the ladies moaning and oohing at the shirtless men and such. Even at one point the audience burst into applause, I give you that.
Personally, I think they really lost me at the point where Edward was looking at Bella so longingly, I swear he was going to throw up on her. Again, this is a man’s opinion, I can’t dispute $69 million dollars in one weekend.
Ladies, this movie is for you, let the guys go watch the A-Team. Please. - CLAM
THE LAST AIRBENDER
Yup, I was done when the Airbender opened his mouth. The acting was so bad across the board that the movie felt like it was three hours long! That, friends, is not good. I walked in hoping to at least be entertained by the visual effects, and even those were lacking.
I have no idea what happened to director M. Night Shyamalan, I really did love his first three movies, and then . . . crap. And the odd thing is, my opinion is based just on the film; you should hear what the fans of the cartoon are saying, it’s not pretty.
But, in all fairness, let me backtrack. I do give props to two characters - the Uncle and the monk who says nothing (and, maybe the flying lemur-bat.) These were the highlights of the whole experience.

The movie was just plain disappointing, but on the other hand - after talking to the cartoon fans, I want to watch that. I just wouldn’t waste my time with this one unless you are just plain bored. You get the idea. - CLAM
KNIGHT & DAY
Finally, at the end of the long weekend, I decided to revisit a movie that we all missed. Every reviewer I read or heard gave this film scathing reviews - even saying that Tom Cruise’s career was over. But, I am not ashamed to say, I actually really liked it!
Knight & Day is a fun movie filled with outrageous writing and tons of action. I was looking forward to see what craziness they would come up with next. I thought Cruise and Diaz actually worked well together on the big screen, and found myself laughing out loud time and time again. Being a HUGE fan of the unusual, the clever transitions were actually quite a highlight. Other than some cheestiness here and there, I actually have nothing bad to say about this film. I really enjoyed it, and heck, I might even have to watch it again! - CLAM
