Catawba County, NC – The 2026 Extension Master Gardener training course is now accepting applications!

This program offers 40 hours of in-depth education, with classes held every Wednesday afternoon, starting in mid-February. You’ll gain a wide range of knowledge, from introductory botany to pest and disease management.

After completing the initial training, you’ll become a Master Gardener Intern. To earn your official Extension Master Gardener title, you’ll need to complete 40 hours of volunteer service within your first year. This is a great opportunity to apply your new skills and help your community.  $100 course fee, textbook included.

Applications due by January 9th, 2026.

Fee due when application is accepted.
