Red, White and Bluegrass Festival, Catawba Meadows Park, Morganton, July 4-6

Mark your calendars for the 16th Annual Red, White, and Bluegrass Festival in Morganton, NC! 3 Days, 12 Bands! The festival is scheduled for July 4-6. July 4 is free to everyone and will feature games, music, contests, and more.

Blowing Rock Independence Day Festival, Blowing Rock, NC, July 5-6

Join the town of Blowing Rock for games, music, and fun! Free entertainment all day, plus the best small-town Main Street parade you’ll find anywhere. All events take place in downtown Blowing Rock, except the fireworks, which will be held at the Blowing Rock Country Club. The public is welcome at the Club for the special event. Find the games and music in Memorial Park on Main Street.

Schedule for the 2019 celebration (times subject to change):
Friday: 6-8pm: Park Dance in Memorial Park with Summer Daze Band.
Saturday: 9am-until: Adult Horse Shoe Tournament (18 years & up, prizes awarded); Noon – 1:30 pm: Live music; 2pm: Independence Day Parade; 3 pm – 4 pm: Live Music with the Cockman Family; 3:30-4:30: Park Games (prizes awarded for 1st and 2nd place in all games!) At dark: Fireworks show set off from the Blowing Rock Country Club. Visible from many places in town, good viewing is available along Goforth Road. Roadside parking is allowed for this event. Fourth of July Celebration, U.S. National Whitewater Center, 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, Charlotte, July 3 @ 9:00 am – July 4 @ 10:00 pm

A summer classic, the USNWC’s two-day Fourth of July Celebration is back for its ninth year and will once again provide plenty of opportunities to get outside and active over the holidays. In addition to the typical pass activities and tour options, the festival will also feature live music, various yoga practices, Battle Royale SUP Sprint, and two days of booming firework shows overlooking the world’s largest man-made whitewater river. Boone 4th of July Parade & Festivities, King Street – Downtown Boone, NC, July 4

The annual 4th of July parade, from 11am – 12:30 pm, is a wonderful event for the whole family. Find a spot on King Street to enjoy the festive floats and patriotic participants. After the parade, join the Mayor of Boone for watermelon, cake and refreshments at the Jones House. Later that evening, check out the festivities at Clawson/Burnley Park (355 Hunting Hills Lane) starting at 7:00 p.m., with music followed by fireworks starting 30 minutes after dark. Ingles Independence Day Celebration, July 4, 12pm-10pm, Pack Square Park, Asheville

The Asheville Downtown Association will host the Ingles Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4 from 12-10pm at Pack Square Park in downtown Asheville. The free event features family activities throughout the day, with a fireworks extravaganza capping off the event at 9:30pm.

Fireworks launch from the Buncombe County parking deck on College Street. The best places for viewing are in the McGuire Green and Reuter Terrace areas of the park. Also, Spruce Street between College Street and Market Street, which will be closed to vehicles.

Lenoir 4th of July Celebration, Lenoir Optimist Grounds, Lenoir, NC., July 4, 5pm – 10pm

Come celebrate Independence Day at Mulberry Recreation Center! We’ll have water slides, inflatables, games, live music, fireworks, and more! Cost: mostly free! Fees will vary depending on the activity. Fireworks start at 9:30 pm, and will be shot from the Lenoir Optimist Grounds.

Marion 4th of July Celebration, July 4, 6pm -10pm

Wednesday, July 4 – Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks! Celebrate Independence Day in Downtown Marion. The parade begins at 6pm. A special spot is reserved at the beginning of the parade for “Anything That Rolls”. Grand Marshals are McDowell County veterans. The street dance with “Gotcha Groove” begins at 7pm. Fireworks at 9:45pm.

The festivities will begin in the afternoon with the SkyShow Street Party, featuring activities for kids, games, prize giveaways, live music, and food trucks and drinks. And in the evening, the Charlotte Knights will host the Norfolk Tides. The night will conclude with fireworks lighting up the Uptown Charlotte skyline.

We’re taking over Mint Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in front of BB&T Ballpark starting at 2pm until 10pm for the SkyShow Street Party. 107.9 The Link will have kid crafts, coloring, and activities at the Interactive Kids Area. Whether you climb, slide or bounce down the street, there’s sure to be some fun for kids of all ages! Pick up your wristband at any kid’s activity for a small fee and play all day!

Independence Day Celebration Concert & Fireworks, Alexander Central High School

The public is invited to the Alexander County Independence Day Celebration Concert and Fireworks on Saturday, July 6th at approximately 9:45 p.m. at Alexander Central High School! The event is being presented by Alexander County Government, with the help of a $2,500 donation from Craftmaster Furniture. Residents and visitors can enjoy the pyrotechnics display from the ACHS parking lot, county administration parking lot, and other nearby parking areas. The fun actually begins with a free “Summer on the Square” concert at the Alexander County Courthouse Park (131 West Main Avenue, Taylorsville) with Kent Dowell and the Bluegrass Blend, courtesy of the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center! The concert will run from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., which will allow you plenty of time to find your spot and get ready for the fireworks. Bring your friends and family to celebrate our independence!
