Hickory – Summer is just around the corner, and that means lots of time for reading and relaxing-on the porch, at the beach, in a hammock or at a favorite vacation destination. Find all the books you need for your summer reading pleasure at the “Spring Into Summer” Book Sale being held by the Friends of Hickory Public Library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library.
Hundred of paperback and hardcover books in all genres will be available for just $1. Plan to attend to stock up for summer reading! Proceeds from the book sale are used to fund library activities and programs throughout the year.
The Friends group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support and services to enhance the library.
