Hickory – Unique World Gifts and Cats’ Cradle are pleased to present a social event titled “Fair Trade, Felines, and Food Truck on Friday Night” to promote partnership between nonprofits as well as entrepreneurial spirit. The public is invited to Unique World Gifts on June 22, from 5-8 p.m., to shop fair trade, learn about the cat care network Cats’ Cradle provides, and purchase food from Egg Roll-in truck of Boone and Hickory’s Di’lishi mobile yogurt cart.
Fifteen percent of sales at UWG on 6/22 will go to Cat’s Cradle and the first ten customers will receive free frozen yogurt.
The event is the brainstorm of Lenoir-Rhyne University business capstone students who served as consultants for UWG under the direction of Dr. Ralph Griffith and organized by board members Leigh Armstrong, Aaron Kohrs, and Director Lana Ruffini.
There will be cats present to adopt. All are welcome.
