Hickory – “Molly Bass – This Is My Real Voice,” a variety show featuring Molly with EXTRA-special guests will be presented Monday, October 1st at 7:30pm in the Drendel Auditorium on the SALT Block. The performance will last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes and is rated PG. Admission is free; donations to the United Arts Council of Catawba County’s TAG (Theatre Arts Grant) will be appreciated and accepted at the performance. The Theatre Arts Grant helps defray costs for theatre productions by public high schools in Catawba County, two loves that Bass champions – theatre and public education.
Joining her on stage to sing and dance and perform scenes from several of the plays written by Molly are the following crazy-talented people from the area: Hal Rowe will serve as the Master of Ceremonies, Jeff Hartman, Marcus Phillips, Malik Hill, Phillip Whack, Tammy Lail, Nathan Crabtree, Shannon Underwood, Lawson Cross, Elisabeth Bokhoven, Josh Yoder, Stephanie Lindsay, Mark Woodard, Carol Anne Hartman, Emily Stober, David Townsend, Dorothy Best, Zion Mingus, Evie Malone, Kim Whitley, Leslie Ferrell, and Johnny White!

About Molly Bass: Molly Bass is a Hickory native. She is the author of more than 10 original plays, and is probably well known for her role in resurrecting theater arts at Hickory High School. Under her leadership and mentoring, hundreds of students have had their first experience on the stage. This event commemorates her birthday and raises funds through donations to support the United Arts Council’s Theatre Arts Grant. The United Arts Council of Catawba County offers numerous opportunities for individuals and organizations to receive funding to promote arts, science and history.
