Hiddenite, NC – The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center’s Annual Kid’s Summer Art Camp begins on July 9, 2019 and early registration is now open for students. Instructor, Martha Burgin has planned a six-week course of fun and innovative art projects designed to lead campers on an exciting journey of creative discovery.

Held on Tuesdays at the Center’s Educational Complex (70 Hiddenite Church Road), the Kid’s Summer Art Camp will be in session July 9th,16th, 23rd, 30th and August 6th and 13th.

Classes will offer a wide range of artistic mediums.

Classes for ages 4 – 8 (4 and 5 year old students must be accompanied by an adult during the class) are held from 10:00am until 12:00noon. Classes for students 9 and older are held from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.

Cost for attending the full six-week Summer Art Camp is only $60 per student (prepaid for all six sessions). Students can also enroll in single day classes for only $15 per class. Reservations are required for the Summer Art Camp and may be made by calling (828) 632-6966.

Art camp instructor and Hiddenite Arts & Heritage staff member, Martha Burgin, is a skillful art teacher with more than twenty-five years of experience. The Center’s Summer Art Camp is well suited to children who are just beginning to develop their creative skills, intermediate students, and advanced student artists alike.

Camp participants will be honored with a Meet the Artists reception on Sunday, August 18, from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm at the Center’s Educational Complex (70 Hiddenite Church Road). Light refreshments will be served and works of art completed during the camp will be exhibited.
