Hiddenite, NC – The Hiddenite Arts and Heritage Center announces open registration for two upcoming workshops. Wild Herbs & Foraging will be held on Saturday August 6th. Wild Herbs & Foraging Class Saturday, August 6th 10-2pm at The Hiddenite Center Educational Complex followed by a trip to Heritage Hills Farms (15 minutes from the Educational Complex) to forage and find the wild herbs talked about in the classroom. Join Amy Barr of Heritage Hills Farms for an informative lesson on the uses of herbs growing right in your own backyard. Amy will share her knowledge from years of experience on how to forage, and how to use herbs for first aid and other uses. This is a hands-on experience in identifying, collecting and using herbs. Participants may take home the herbal remedy that is made in class.

Painted Barn Quilt Class- Saturday September 10th, 2022 10am -2pm at the Center’s Educational Complex -70 Hiddenite Church Road in Hiddenite. The class instructor is Carol Mitchell of Taylorsville. Students will create their own 2’ x 2’ painted Barn Quilt. Cost for workshop is $65 for Center members and $70 for the public. All the materials will be provided.
