Newton, NC – With a grant from the Elks National Foundation, the Newton Elks lodge partnering with the Corner Table and Styers Family Feed and Supply, was able to help replace lost funding for the garden at the Newton Dept of Corrections. This garden provides fresh vegetables for the Corner Table. Newton Lodge plans to continue support through ongoing grants from ENF. The Elks National Foundation was created in 1928 to help Elks Lodges support their local communities. The Foundation also provides scholarships and supports projects for Veterans.
