Hickory – This Saturday night, May 6, at the Hickory Community Theatre, local legend Nathan Hefner will present “Stardust,” his concert tribute to the golden age of popular music, with songs like “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “When I Fall In Love,” “Orange Colored Sky,” “Where Or When” and “The Tennessee Waltz.”
Backing him up is an all-star orchestra of musicians who have worked with the likes of Lou Rawls, Patti Page, Frank Sinatra, The Temptations, LeAnn Rimes, Rosemary Clooney, Jerry Lewis, The Lennon Sisters and countless others.
Those fabulously talented players are: Rick Hefner, David Wortman and Matt Cochran on saxophone, along with ASU professor Toddy Wright and international Saxophone player and regular member of the Tommy Dorsey orchestra, Doug Henry; Byron Bean and national recording artist Rick Simerly on trombone; Rusty Smith, Jay Meachum and John Entzi; and Rick Cline on drums, with ancillary percussion by Michael Willis. This outstanding orchestra will be conducted by singer and drummer Russ Wilson.
Nathan is giving this concert as a benefit to the Hickory Community Theatre. Show time on May 6 is 8pm and reserved seat tickets are $20.
