Valdese, NC – The exhibition of entries will open for the 37th Annual Open Art Competition on Friday, August 2, 2024. With the official opening on Saturday, August 10, to coincide with the Waldensian Festival.
This exhibit will be in the galleries Friday, August 2 through Friday, August 30, 2024. Galleries are open weekdays from 9 am–5 pm. Exhibit can be viewed at rockschoolartgalleries.com from August 2 to September 6.
Artists must be 18 or older. Artists may enter One or Two pieces of their artwork. Entries may be two-dimensional or three-dimensional. Artists may enter two 2D or two 3D works. Or one of each to meet the 2-entry limit. All works must be original and never shown before in the Rock School Open Art Competition.
Awards are 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($200), and 3rd Place ($100). The public visiting the opening of the exhibition on August 10th will be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award ($50). **Winners will be notified before the exhibition opens and prizes will be mailed to the winners. JUDGE: TBA
Artists fee is RSAF Members: $10. Non-members: $15. Cash or Checks (payable to RSAF or Rock School Arts Foundation).
Receiving Of Exhibited Work —Wednesday, July 24, 12–6pm and Thursday, July 25, 10am–2pm in Gallery I in the Old Rock School in Valdese, NC.
