Hickory – Why do our loved ones who are affected by dementia exhibit what we call difficult behaviors? It could be the way they are trying to communicate.
Before we, as caregivers, can understand what our loved one is trying to communicate, we must first understand the disease process. What are they truly experiencing which causes the behaviors? Once we understand the disease process then we can learn to communicate with success as we move forward.
