Lenoir, NC – Satie’s Holiday Workshops at Caldwell Arts Council make-and-take aluminum wrap ring with Ellen Ball is Tuesday, December 4, 9am–11am, and also at 6-8pm the same day.
Learn how to apply texture with hammers on pre-cut pieces of light-weight aluminum to create a forged wrap ring. Tools and materials are included, and no experience is necessary. Appropriate for children 12 and up. (Mature children 10 – 12 can come with an adult.)
Hickory native Ellen Ball is a life-long artist who has created metal-smithed jewelry and assemblages for over 10 years. A member of North Carolina Artist-Blacksmith Association of North Carolina, she creates in a Hickory, NC studio and has taught over 300 people in the foothills region of the state.
