Hickory – Full Circle Arts is inviting all visual artists in the area to enter their work in its latest Open Competition and exhibition. Entries are due at FCA April 26 or 27. Art accepted into the exhibition will be on display May 9 to June 15.
The purpose of Spring Competition is to give artists a means to show art in a variety of visual media. There is no specific theme: all ideas are welcome.
Full Circle Arts is offering $600 in prizes.
The judge and juror of the exhibition is Ellen Ball, longtime Hickory resident and Executive Director of the Caldwell Arts Council in Lenoir. She is a lifelong artist who has created metal-smithed jewelry for almost two decades. She also has taught classes at various locations in the region and has been an active member of the area arts community for years.
Artists should bring their work to Full Circle Arts, 42-B Third Street NW in downtown Hickory. There will be a reception to honor the artists May 9.
