Hickory – The Western Piedmont Woodcrafters’ Saturday, June 27th meeting will feature Scarlette Rouse giving a demonstration on making bandsaw boxes. As usual, the meeting is at 9:30 A.M., at Klingspor’s Woodworking Shop, 856 21st St. Drive SE, Hickory. Guests are always welcome at club meetings.
Scarlette is a retired farmer who loves teaching woodworking and woodturning. She teaches bandsaw boxes, wooden dust pans, cutting and charcuterie boards, and woodturning classes. She teaches at John C Campbell Folk School, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and also does demonstrations for clubs. She also carves, burns, and paints designs on objects that she makes, and teaches those subjects as well.
The meeting will include member show-and-tell items and our usual raffle.
