Hudson, NC – The inaugural Redwood Park Bocce Tournament in Hudson will be held Saturday, September 24th, beginning at 9 o’clock AM. Registration will be limited to the first 8 teams of 4 players each. If you are interested, but do not have a full team, please submit your name and teams can be put together.
The court at Redwood was a 2019 Eagle Scout project.
Bocce is an Italian Lawn Bowling game, played in backyards, on beaches and more formally, in railed courts. Bocce is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender or race. One does not have to be an athlete to play. Bocce incorporates aspects of bowling, pool, shuffleboard, curling, petanque and other sports.
Everyone participating in the tournament will receive a t-shirt and the winning team on the day of competition will receive individual trophies.
In upcoming days and weeks, many more details, specifics and logistics relating to the tournament will be sent to interested participants. For now, please let me know if you have interest in playing in this tournament, and if you have a team of 4 players.
