Hickory – The Art of the Small. Full Circle Arts invites artists to enter its twelfth annual Tiny Art Show. For this competition / exhibition, the organization is looking for art on an intimate scale, no more than eight inches high or wide. The exhibition is open to all visual media.
Art entries should be delivered Friday, March 8, or Saturday, March 9, to Full Circle Arts, 42-B Third St. NW, Hickory. For this show, we do our best to hang all of the entries.
Prizes are tiny ribbons, which will be awarded by competition judge Hunter Speagle. Speagle is a versatile artist who explores the world through his painting and sculpture, interactive art, and public installations. He has a BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Speagle has participated in many shows in NC, NYC, and more. He is founder of the artists-led organization ATAC Gallery in Hickory.
Winners of the ribbons will be recognized at the Tiny Art reception Thursday, March 21, 6:00-8:00pm at Full Circle Arts.
Tiny Art will be on display March 21 to April 20. At the same time, FCA will display Tiny Art by children from several schools in the area.
