Hickory – To mark the observation of November as National Hospice Month, Carolina Caring, formerly known as Catawba Regional Hospice, invites local churches to ring their bells on Sunday, November 4.
The ringing of church bells has, for generations, been a way to recognize important events, to draw communities together, and to mark the passage of time. The joint gesture is also intended to commemorate the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us.
All local churches are encouraged to sound their bells directly after their Sunday morning services.
Throughout November, Carolina Caring will be sharing the benefits of hospice care, recognizing military veterans and their contributions, and spreading awareness of end-of-life care through a team approach.
