Hickory – Carolina Moonlighter President Lee DeArmond announced recently that the barbershop chorus will present a Christmas show titled Christmas Stories: Rudolph, the Grinch, and Other Life Lessons on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3pm.
Held in Drendel Auditorium in the SALT Block in Hickory, the show will include Moonlighter quartet the Acappella Fellas and Hickory High’s Vocal Ensemble.
No tickets are required and admission is free, though donations will be accepted to benefit Hickory High School’s choral program.
Contact Lee DeArmond at (828) 313-0758 for any questions.
The Carolina Moonlighters are the Hickory Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The Moonlighters meet on Thursday evenings at 7 pm in the Arts Center Annex in the SALT Block near the Beaver Library in Hickory.
Visitors who like to sing are always welcome; ability to read music is not required. “If you sing in the shower, but think you could never sing barbershop, you’re all wet!” says Moonlighter Director Dennis Kimbleton.
