Hickory – It’s time to purchase some sweets for the sweet one in your life, and support a youth scholarship program at the same time.
Catawba Valley Pride is conducting its third annual Valentine’s Day dessert sale, at Sarah’s Loft, 25 2nd Street NW, (above Trade Alley Art), next to Tasteful Beans, on Friday, February 9, from 5 – 8 p.m.
There will be dozens of desserts of all types for sale, as well as Door Prizes and a 50/50 Raffle. There will also be wine and light refreshments served.
Catawba Valley Pride will be offering a scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year. The scholarship funds $500 to a Catawba, Burke, Caldwell, Alexander, Iredell or Lincoln County resident and must be either a student who is LGBT or a straight ally. The applicant must be a high school senior.
