Hickory – The public is invited to enjoy a Dessert, Wine & Chocolates evening celebrating North Carolina’s female authors beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, in the Keiser Room at the Salt Block. Authors Kimmery Martin and Angela Pisel will be the guest speakers, and may be joined by a third author, still to be announced.
The evening’s program is presented by the Friends of Hickory Public Library in partnership with Patrick Beaver Library. Although the program is free, there is limited seating and tickets must be obtained in advance, either at the circulation desk at Patrick Beaver Library, beginning Tuesday, April 10, or from any Friends member. The event is for those ages 21 and older.
Charlotte physician Kimmery Martin’s debut novel The Queen of Hearts has been named a 2018 Most Anticipated Book by Southern Living, Elite Daily and Writer’s Digest.
