Hickory – The City of Hickory will close its offices on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, but garbage, yard waste, and recycling pick-up will continue without interruption.
City of Hickory offices will re-open on Monday, December 2, at 8:30 a.m.

Hickory Public Library:
Hickory Public Library, the Patrick Beaver Memorial main facility and the Ridgeview Branch, will close early on Wednesday, November 27, at 6 p.m. and remain closed Thursday and Friday. The library will re-open at its regular hours on Saturday, November 30.
Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department:
The Administrative Offices are closed Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29.
All recreation centers will close early on Wednesday, November 27, at 6 p.m. and remain closed Thursday and Friday. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, November 30.
Parks are open 365 days a year.
