Newton, NC – The Green Room Community Theatre is thrilled to present The Commedia Cinderella. On Sat. Dec. 9th, 2017 at 3pm, there will be a ONE TIME performance of this comical version of Cinderella. The show is performed by The Green Bean Players. The performance will in the McCreary Theatre at the Old Post Office Playhouse in historic downtown Newton, NC.
This hilarious rendition of one of the world’s most famous and loved fairytales is just pure fun. The commedia players, a band of lovable vagabond actors, love the story of Cinderella so much that they try to improve upon it whenever possible. Your family may know the story of Cinderella, who dreams of a chance to win the hand of the handsome Prince, but they’ve never seen it told like this.
The Commedia Cinderella is produced by Frye Regional Medical Center/ HSM Solutions. It is directed by John David Brown, III. The Green Bean Players will also be performing 2 additional shows in the Spring of 2018—“Little Red Riding Hood” & The Lovely, Lovely Lemon Drop Pie.”

Ticket prices are $10 for Adults and $6 for children age 12 and under. All ticket prices include NC sales tax. The Green Room Community Theatre is a funded affiliate of the United Arts Council of Catawba County.
