Newton, NC – The Soldiers Reunion tradition continues at Catawba Farms! Catawba Farms will host a Commemorative Soldiers Reunion Day on Sunday August 16 to celebrate Newton’s longstanding tradition to honor and salute those who have served our country in the Armed Forces. This day of socially-distanced activities begins at 1:00 pm and includes:
• Pulled Barbecue Pork + other menu items from Trey, the Catawba Farms Food Truck
• Music by Drive South, starting at 5:30 at the outdoor stage
• Displays from various veteran’s groups
• Farms animals + farm produce for sale
• Artisan crafts and other products
• Corn hole and other lawn games for all
• Antique farm tractors and cars
Events are passive and physically-distanced with plenty of picnic table seating. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs with placement 6 feet apart from other guests. Masks are required while inside the Tasting Room. Coolers and outside food are not permitted as proceeds from the Commemorative Soldiers Reunion Day at Catawba Farms will be donated to the Marine Corps League. Guests will be able to make donations during the event.
