Hickory – In partnership with the Hickory Community Theatre and the Downtown Farmers Market, the Lenoir-Rhyne Vaccine Ambassadors will be hosting a vaccination clinic and education event this Saturday June 26 from 9am to 1pm.
Student Ambassadors will be available to answer questions about COVID vaccination at a table at the Farmers Market while StarMed Healthcare will be administering vaccines around the corner at the Hickory Community Theatre (30 3rd Street NW). Both the two-dose Pfizer and the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available and ages 12 and up are now eligible.
Vaccines are safe, effective, and free and you do not need to present an ID or insurance card to receive your vaccine. No appointments are necessary, but if you would like to schedule a time, you can call 980-445-9818 or go to www.starmed.care to register.
The Lenoir-Rhyne Vaccine Ambassadors are a group of students and faculty who are working within communities this summer to address vaccine hesitancy and to help improve access to the COVID vaccine. They can be reached at [email protected].
