Here’s What You Need to Know:
On Street Parking is Extended! The time limit for on-street parking in the core downtown area is now 3 hours (it was 2 hours). This gives you more time for appointments, shopping, dining, and enjoying everything downtown has to offer. Parking in front of the movie theater is still 4 hour parking. Timed parking will be enforced Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00
All Public Parking Lots are Now All-Day Free Parking! All public lots downtown no longer have a time restriction.
They are all-day, free parking! If you plan to explore downtown for more than 3 hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on a weekday, please use these convenient all-day lots.
Historic Courthouse Square Parking: The spaces along the tour sides of the Historic Burke County Courthouse Square are not timed and are reserved for visitors, customers, and permitted residents. These updates are designed to ensure there is always convenient on-street parking available for our customers and to provide clear, accessible options for those who want to spend the whole day with us. At this time, only warning tickets are being given out to get everyone used to the new regulations.
