Newton, NC – The Newton Elks Lodge #2042 will host a special performance by Jonathan Birchfield – Dreams, A celebration of the music of Allman Brothers Band on Friday, February 15th at their West J Street Lodge in Newton.
Dreams is the brainchild of Jonathan Birchfield and Rob MacWilliams. Both residents of the North Carolina foothills grew up listening to and cutting their teeth on the Southern Rock and Jam Bands of their childhood. The Marshall Tucker Band, Atlanta Rhythm Section, and Lynyrd Skynyrd were some of the bands who influenced Birchfield and MacWilliams.
However, it was the Allman Brothers Band who hit the perfect harmony for Rob and JB. Naturally, they formed a band with the best musicians in the area to pay homage to their heroes.
Soulful vocals, immaculate twin guitars, and a certified rhythm section with two drummers, bass and organ, “Dreams’ is the real deal, specializing in Blues and Southern Rock. Their mission is to celebrate and play the music of the Allman Brothers Band, providing the best possible experience for any fan of the legendary band.
Doors will open at the Newton Elks Lodge #2042 for Dreams at 6pm on February 15th. The show begins at 8 pm. There is a $10 cover charge per person for this special event.
Light appetizers will be provided from 6-8 pm with a cash bar available the entire evening.
Proceeds from the Jonathan Birchfield and Dreams show will benefit several local Elks Lodge charities.
