Denver, NC – A unique event is being held March 18, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the new gym at East Lincoln High School. The Mustang Wrestlers, their parents, and guardians have been hard at work since October contacting businesses asking for support of and organizing their 2nd Annual Raffle Fundraiser (Chinese Auction). The proceeds from the event will assist in offsetting the costs of a program that encourages teamwork, builds mental and physical strength, endurance, and character. It also teaches how to overcome obstacles, manage emotions, respect authority and helps our young men and women learn that success is to be earned through hard work and determination.
The event committee is hoping for an audience of up to 800 attendees who are looking for an evening of fun and excitement and the opportunity to win raffle prizes across three different ticket levels. The items include a variety of gift cards to local businesses, family passes to baseball games, museums, theater shows, adventure parks and golf courses, gift baskets with a wide assortment of themes, children’s items, clothing, pottery, as well as higher end items from Coach and Bagdley Mischka, signed sports memorabilia, and even a beautiful coffee table from Century Furniture that retails for $3,000+ plus so much more. There will also be concessions available, music, and 50/50 drawing throughout the event.
What is a raffle fundraiser (Chinese auction)? It is an event that requires attendees to purchase raffle tickets and drop them into containers for a chance at winning a specific prize. Participants can put as many tickets as they wish in the container in order to increase their chances of winning each corresponding prize. Attendees may bring noisemakers to announce that they have won and where they are sitting.
Admission is open to those 18 years or older, with tickets priced at $10.00 per person, and include a sheet of 26 first level tickets. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased via cash or credit card once inside and are available at the following levels:
• Level One: Small or Single items – $5.00 per sheet (26 tickets), $20.00/5 sheets
• Level Two: Gift baskets – $2.00 per ticket, $5.00/3 tickets
• Level Three: Large prizes – $5.00 per ticket, $10.00/3 tickets
An early bird special is available online for $15.00 if purchased before March 10, 2023, and includes a single Level One sheet of 25 tickets, 5 Level Two basket tickets, and 5 Level Three large prize tickets. (approx. $26.00 value)
