Newton, NC – Each year, Eastern Catawba Cooperative Christian Ministry (ECCCM) and The Corner Table hold the Eastern Catawba County Hunger Walk, Sunday, October 15 at 3PM in Downtown Newton. The goals of this three mile walk are to raise funds for hunger relief efforts in Catawba County and to raise awareness of the hunger issue in our community. In 2022, a one mile walk option was added to the event.
Your participation will ensure ECCCM and The Corner Table can keep feeding the many families living with food insecurity in Catawba County. You can participate in multiple ways: walking or sponsoring. To walk you can register, donate, become a sponsor, join, or create a team. A $25 donation is required to receive an event t-shirt.
Awards are presented for the largest team, the top team fund-raiser, and the top individual fund-raiser, so invite your friends, form a team, and join in the fun! Sponsorship opportunities are offered at multiple levels with differing benefits. This is a wonderful opportunity for your employer, church, civic group, etc. to make an impact on the community and get their name out!
ECCCM and The Corner Table are asking that you will find it in your heart to support our hunger relief efforts. All ECC Hunger Walk donations will be shared evenly between these two organizations, and you may rest assured that your gift will be used to feed the hungry here in Catawba County.
