Hickory – The Children’s Advocacy & Protection Center of Catawba County will be hosting an Evening of Hope on April 28th, beginning at 6:00pm. This year’s event will be held at the Hickory Soup Kitchen,110 2nd St Pl SE in Hickory. All members of the public are invited to attend.
This year’s event will recognize the last two years’ winners of the Child Abuse Prevention Award, and will serve as an educational night with our special guest speakers with the NC SBI. The title of the presentation is Our Children and the Internet: A candid conversation. The presentation will be an open forum. Officers will review internet safety, vigilance, and highlight trends that are being seen in our area and around the country.
