Valdese, NC – Valdese Family Friday Nights Summer Concert series will feature The Clydes this Friday, May 11, beginning at 7pm, located in the Town Parking area.
Three time International Bluegrass Music Awards showcase artists, The Clydes, have toured over 35 states and five countries in the last three years. London’s House of Mercy Radio recognized them as an artist to be on the lookout for, and with their upright bassist frontwoman and impressive North Carolina picking styles they continue to record and tour nationally and abroad. The Clydes is music forged from grit, love and hard times, embracing smokey vocals and soul twisting delivery which can best be described as Old Soul Americana. Their infectious stage presence, memory haunting songs and instrumental wizardry has delighted a vast audience from Georgia to Maine, from Minnesota to the UK.
The Clydes features the talents of Aubrey Eisenman- upright bass and vocals, Justin Eisenman – guitar and vocals, John Duncan – fiddle and vocals, and Caleb Hanks – Mandolin and vocals. The Clydes are a very hard working, heavy traveling, candle on both ends burning, passionate band who has performed hundreds of shows, numerous festivals and media appearances, and who looks eagerly toward the horizon for all the music yet to be made. With their front-woman bass player, unique harmonies and impressive picking styles, The Clydes bring an unabashed energy and relatable emotion to the stage.
Concessions will be available and are sponsored by the Valdese Celebrates 125 Committee. Myra’s cruise in will begin every Friday night at 6:00pm and downtown shops will remain open later.
