Hickory – The Hickory Community Theatre is kicking off the final weekend of The Hobbit with another of its new “Fan Club Thursday” events on March 22nd from 6:30 to 7:00pm, just prior to the evening’s performance, which begins at 7:30.
Every Thursday night performance features discounted adult admission, a reception with nibbles and a cash bar, as well as a “goodie” giveaway for a chosen group of patrons. This weekend’s goodies will once again go to Hobbit fans that come in costume or bring in copies of any of Tolkien’s books. Bilbo Baggins will be there to give autographs.
Performances of The Hobbit are Thursday at 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2:30pm. Tickets are $18, seniors age 60+ are $16 and tickets for students and youth 18 and under are $10. On Thursday night all adults and seniors are $14.
