Valdese, NC – Valdese Family Friday Night Summer Series will continue their season with Emily Minor, a former American Idol Contestant, on June 16th at 7:00pm in the Wells Fargo/Town Parking lot in downtown.
North Carolina native, Emily Minor, is the fresh new face of country music. She first grabbed the attention of many as a top fifty finalist on the hit series, American Idol. Emily quickly realized she belonged in Nashville, TN. Shortly after her time on the show, Emily made the move to Nashville and began writing and recording. Emily has planted her roots as a sought-after entertainer and has found herself on stage opening for Lee Brice, Dustin Lynch, Cole Swindell, Maddie & Tae, and many more.
Emily Minor’s self-titled EP is a lively collection of stories, undeniable emotions, and astounding vocals that is as honest and lovable as Emily herself. Emily’s vibrant personality and ability to stay grounded and true to herself makes it difficult not to fall in love with her.
Fans who come to see Emily perform live can always count on a high energy show filled with original songs as well as some of her classic favorites. “We are very excited to have Emily come back to Valdese”, states Morrissa Angi Community Affairs Director, “she is a crowd favorite and we have numerous requests for her each year.”
Concessions will be for sale during the concert series and different civic groups will offer 50/50 raffles every Friday.
Season lineup cards will be available for pick up at the concession trailer and will feature special offers and discounts from participating merchants.
Checkers, Tic-Tack-Toe and other games will be available for public use. Myra’s Cruise In will begin every Friday night at 6:00pm and downtown shops will remain open later.
