Statesville, NC – The popular Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series offers FREE entertainment to residents, neighbors, and visitors in Downtown Statesville May through September and features music genres of all styles. The concerts are held in Downtown Statesville on West Broad Street in front of Mitchell Community College from 5:30 –8:30 pm.
This Friday, September 4, Bourbon Sons take the stage! Bourbon Sons is Country Rock. Too country for rock. Too rock for country. Just right for you. Bourbon Sons thrive in the sweet spot between country grit and Southern rock swagger, pairing lived-in storytelling with sharp hooks, big guitars, and a sense of humor that never takes itself too seriously. Rooted in tradition but built for the modern road, their music balances emotional weight with good-time energy.
New this year! We will be featuring local talent from 5:45-6:15 PM. September 4 local talent is Glenn Goodnight. Get ready for Delta Blues, rhythms of New Orleans funk and soul, and earthy folk tones from the Foothills of the NC mountains.
Beer, wine, soft drinks and food will be available for purchase beginning at 5:30pm. Bring your chairs and enjoy a night of music. No dogs, pets, coolers, outside beverages or containers are allowed.
