Hickory – Full Circle Arts (FCA) invites the Hickory area community to attend the gallery’s Tiny Art Show exhibition and opening reception on March 20. The annual Tiny Arts exhibition features small art works in all media that are no more than eight inches high or wide. It is one of the Hickory area’s most popular art shows, drawing many local artists who offer their creations for viewing by the public.
There will also be a Student Tiny Art Show with works submitted by local students from Grandview Middle School, Northview Middle School, Longview Elementary School, Hickory Career and Arts Magnet School, and Hickory High School.
Local painter Randy Blake Clontz will select the winners of the Tiny Art competition. Clontz holds a BFA degree from Detroit’s College for Creative Studies. He is a full-time painter of fine art and commissioned portraits, and his paintings can be found in private, corporate, and public collections in several states.
The Tiny Art competition winners will be announced, and ribbons will be presented to the winning artists at the awards reception on Thursday, March 20, 6pm – 8pm, at Full Circle Arts gallery at 42-B Third Street NW, Hickory. (A second, street-level entrance is located behind the gallery.) Refreshments will be provided by the members of Full Circle Arts.
The winning works and other pieces entered in the competition will be on display in the gallery March 20 – April 26, 2025, during regular gallery hours: Fridays, 11am-5pm and Saturdays, 10am-2pm. For more information about the event, go to Full Circle Arts’ website: www.fullcirclearts.org/events.
