Hickory – Full Circle Arts of Hickory is announcing the public reception evening for its Annual Fall Competition, to be held Oct.26, 2017 from 6-8:00 pm. The show will run the 4 weeks from Oct. 26 – Nov. 25. Every year Full Circle Arts has invited artists in the 4 county area and beyond to enter their best work in our fca for a chance to win cash awards totaling $600. This show has no theme requirements or stipulations of any kind save submitting what the artists consider some of their best work, either 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional.  This year we are pleased to have the new Executive Director of the Hickory Museum of Art, Jon Carfagno to judge and jury our competition.

The show will be judged for First, Second and Third place winners. Honorable Mentions will also be awarded with ribbons. Artists are allowed to enter up to 3 works of art for consideration to be included in the show. No work may be larger than 48″ in any direction. Full Circle Arts will retain a 35% commission for non-members, 30% commission for Associate Members and 20% for Exhibiting Members on any artwork sold during this exhibition.

We are looking forward to a wonderful show and for the opportunity for the public to view the exceptional artwork by artists in the greater Hickory area. FCA believes we are helping support the local economy by presenting art to the community.  Each art work is unique and we are happy to invite the public to come and enjoy the fine creations which have made it into our show. Full Circle Arts would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our friends, patrons and members who donated art to our organization for our silent auction and to those people who visited us during the auction and placed bids on any of the beautiful items included in the fundraiser. We also want to thank everyone who provided refreshments for our receptions and for the hard work our members put into making our visitors feel welcome.
