Hickory – For the last seven years Full Circle Arts of Hickory has excited the public with our showing of small works of art in our “Tiny Art Show.’ This show has traditionally been held in the summer months but this year we decided to start off the year of art in Hickory by getting everyone’s juices flowing with the incredible variety and affordability of work that we usually see in our “Tiny Art Show.”
Full Circle Arts invites the public to come see our wonderful exhibition on our opening night and throughout the months of January and February. Reception for the show is scheduled for Thursday January 24, from 6-8pm, refreshments will be served.
The judge for our show will be Melissa Jaroszewski, Visual Arts Teacher at the Hickory Career and Arts Magnet High School. Melissa is a mixed media artist whose work combines pattern with lyrical imagery while focusing on the figure and its ability to convey an infinite array of emotions. She has been teaching art for over 14 years.
We will be awarding tiny handmade ribbons for first through third places and for several Honorable Mentions as well as a “People’s Choice Award” the night of the reception.
We will also be having a special student division of the show of small works in one of our smaller gallery rooms and are looking forward to seeing the work of these budding artists as well.
These amazing works will be on display Jan. 24 -March 2 at Full Circle Arts’ gallery during regular hours, Wed. – Fri. 11am-5pm and Sat., 10am-2pm.
