The City of Claremont and the Town of Catawba have teamed up again to offer our communities a FUN event for Halloween!
Join us Saturday, October 26th from 5 to 7 for our Trunk or Treat at the City Hall Pavilion!
Then hit up Town of Catawba from 6 to 8 for more trunks!
New this year Spooky Stories with Council Members! From 4-5pm in Council Chamber join us for snacks, crafts, and spooky stories!
Interested in being involved in this community event? We are looking for volunteers to decorate a trunk or businesses/organizations to sponsor a trunk!
Prizes go to the best decorated trunks!

Veterans Trunk or Treat, 10/31
The American Legion Hickory Post 48 invites you and your children to our TRUNK OR TREAT on October 31, 2024, From 4PM to 8PM!!!
All Treats Provided By Our Veterans. The American Legion Fairgrounds are located at 1 American Legion Ave, Newton NC.
LENOIR
Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat, 10/31
The City of Lenoir Martin Luther King Jr. Center staff is hosting a drive-through trunk-or-treat on Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5pm – 7:30pm.
Sponsors will park and decorate cars and hand out candy to visitors as they drive (or walk) through the MLK Center parking lot. If it’s raining, the Trunk-or-Treat will be held inside in the MLK Jr. Center.
MLK Jr. Center is located at 313 Greenhaven Dr NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
MORGANTON
Morganton DDA Presents Halloween Spooktacular, 10/31
Trick-Or-Treat give all the kids something good to eat! Downtown Businesses will give out candy beginning at 3pm to all the witches, super heroes and characters before everyone joins on the Historic Burke County Courthouse for the costume contest and other scary activities!

NEWTON
Newton’s Halloween Spooktacular, 10/26
Join us in Southside Park on October 26, from 4:30-8:30pm for a night of costume contests, food trucks, haunted hayrides, candy galore, trunk-or-treating, and more fang-tastic fun!

VALDESE
The annual Valdese “Treats in the Streets” will be held on October 31st from 4:00pm- 6:00pm in the downtown area. Every year for Halloween the Valdese Merchants partners with the Town of Valdese to hold this community event. Local merchants hand out candy from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. Candy goes fast so come early and your trick or treater will not be disappointed. A special performance will be presented on Main Street in front of the Town Parking Lot by the Silver Sneakers Dancers. A special guest will be mingling with the attendees to choose the best ten costumes! Best costume winners will be presented with a special medal, trophy and cash prize!
“This is a safe and fun event for the entire family,” states Morrissa Angi, Community Affairs Director for the Town of Valdese. “It is always exciting to see what the favorite character is for the year and I am always amazed at the creativity of the costumes. I am honored to be part of this special event with our downtown merchants. I encourage you all to Shop Local so that events like these can continue to make our small town a special place to call home.”
The Town of Valdese is now home to more than fifteen local retail merchants offering specialty items that are perfect for day to day must haves and Holiday gifts. Treats in the Streets kicks off the Fall Season in Valdese. Numerous other events will be offered to celebrate the upcoming Holidays.
