Newton, NC – Hansel and Gretel, based on the classic Grimm Brothers fairy tale, is an all-youth production coming up at The Green Room Community Theatre. They encounter an old woman in the woods who turns out to be an evil witch. When their father and stepmother leave them in the woods alone, they are frightened. Luckily, they use their wits and trick the witch into getting into her own oven. Then they are able to return home safely.

Hansel & Gretel is adapted and directed by John David Brown, III and is produced by Whisk and Barrel. There will be performances on April 9 -11 and 16 -18, 2021. On Friday and Saturday, performances will be at 7:30pm. On Sunday, the performance will be at 3:00pm.

Tickets are available online at https://www.thegreenroomtheatre.org/hansel-gretel-landing-page or at the Box Office (open Wednesdays – Fridays from 10:00am to 5:00pm). All shows are in-person with limited capacity. There will be virtual productions available for the final weekend.

Ticket prices are $18 for adults, $16 for Seniors, $14 for Students, & $8 for Children 12 and under. Virtual performances are $15 for individuals and $30 for a household. For more information about the show, 828-464-6128.
