Hickory – The Hickory Community Theatre has just announced that the performance run of the hit Broadway musical, Mamma Mia!, has been extended for an extra weekend and will continue through June 9 on the Mainstage in the Jeffers Theatre.
“The audience response has been overwhelming, “said HCT Artistic Director Pamela Livingstone. “Ticket sales have been extremely brisk and demand is only increasing. We feel we have to extend in order to give as many of our patrons as possible the chance to see this incredible show.”
This beloved international smash-hit musical turns ABBA’s most electrifying songs into a story about a young bride, her mother, and the three men who could be her father. Mamma Mia! is the ultimate feel–good show that has audiences coming back again and again to relive the thrill. Now it’s your turn to have the time of your life at this smash–hit musical that combines ABBA’s greatest hits, including “Dancing Queen,” “S.O.S.,” “Super Trouper,” “Take A Chance on Me” and “The Winner Takes It All,” with an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship. This is the show that will make you want to come back for more, because every time feels like the first time at Mamma Mia!
Performances of Mamma Mia! are May 23 through June 9, 2019 – Fridays and Saturdays (May 24, 25 & 31, and June 1, 2, 7 & 8) at 8:00pm, Thursdays (May 23 & 30 and June 6) at 7:30pm and Sundays (May 26 and June 2 & 9) at 2:30pm. Tickets for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors (60 and over), and $10 for students and youth 18 and under. Tickets for Thursday night performances are $16 for adults (all ages) and $10 for students and youth 18 and under.
