Hickory – Hickory Community Theatre is thrilled to announce the second weekend of performances for the hit musical IN THE HEIGHTS, directed by Rod Oden, running from Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16. This Tony Award-winning musical, created by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes, brings the vibrant neighborhood of Washington Heights to life with an unforgettable blend of hip-hop, salsa, merengue, and soul music.

Following a successful opening weekend, IN THE HEIGHTS has captured the hearts of audiences with its energetic choreography, dynamic characters, and a story that celebrates the spirit of community and the pursuit of dreams. The cast, comprised of talented local performers, has delivered outstanding performances that have left audiences both moved and inspired.

“We are incredibly proud of this cast, crew, orchestra and production team for bringing this powerful story to the stage,” said Eric Seale, Artistic Director of Hickory Community Theatre. “The response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are excited to continue sharing this beautiful musical with more audiences.”

Performances of IN THE HEIGHTS run from 6/14- 6/29, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:30pm and Thursday, June 27 at 7:30pm in the Jeffers Theatre. Tickets are $16 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at hickorytheatre.org or by phone at 828-328-2283.

IN THE HEIGHTS is rated PG-13, with mild profanity and adult situations.
