Hickory – Vision is our dominant sense and much more than visual acuity or 20/20 vision.
Vision is the process of deriving meaning from what is seen. We “look” with our eyes, but we see with our brain. After brain injury, visual perception, learning, and cognition are often impaired.
On July 24 at 6pm, Jennifer Speight, Director and Lead Vision Therapist with SightWork will discuss how individuals with oculo-motor and visual processing delays can improve and regain skills that allow an improved quality of life and function. The meeting will be held at First United Methodist Church, 311 3rd Ave. NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
