Hickory – Hickory Church of Christ is hosting its annual time of intercession, as they appeal to God for blessings for the coming school year. On Sunday, August 17, 2024, the church will observe its annual Back-to-School Prayer, Worship, and Cookout. This assembly will consist of petitioning God to guard and direct students, parents, families, and all school and college staff. Prayer works, because God works in response to the prayers of the faithful.
This special day includes 9:30am Bible Classes, 10:30am Worship, and an 11:45am Hot Dog Cookout. The church asks all of the community to join them, in person or from wherever you are, in praying fervently for students and for all of those associated with primary and secondary educational and college facilities. Hickory Church of Christ is comprised of individuals who love God and love others. They are focused on following Jesus together. The church’s 40 Days of Prayer run from the middle of August through the end of September. Praying for the new school term is appropriately included during their extended time of prayer.
