Hickory – The Hickory Police Department Polar Plunge will take place on Saturday, February 18, at Hickory Foundation YMCA, 701 1st St. NW, Hickory, NC 28601. Registration opens at 11am. Event takes place 1-3pm. Refreshments, music and door prizes all day!
Individual Plunge participant: $50. When you raise $50, you will receive the 2022 Polar Plunge T-shirt! But why stop there? Every dollar you raise helps support Special Olympics athletes across North Carolina.
Why Plunge?
If you are a person with intellectual disabilities, you encounter adversities daily. You must have courage to try something that doesn’t come easily to you.
Our athletes bravely face challenges on the field, in the pool and on the court. They are the inspiration for this event.
The funds raised will provide year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities, and health services to Special Olympics athletes in our community. Be brrrr-ave and take the Plunge!
