Taylorsville, NC – Hiddenite Arts workshops & classes Registration is now available. The following classes, workshops and camps are being held at the Center’s Educational Complex (70 Hiddenite Church Road, Hiddenite NC).

Pottery Classes with Sally Warren- Begin a new six-week session of pottery classes for adults on May 23, 2022. Classes will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 7:00pm until 9:00pm Cost is $50 non-Friend Member/ $45 Friend Member. A pound of clay can be purchased for $15.
Art Class with Heather Friday- 6 week session now underway. Call for more information or to join the group. Classes meet Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 pm Cost is $55 Non- Friend Member / $50 Friend Member.
SUMMER ART CAMP– (3) week long classes Times for all 3 camps are split into age groups : Ages 4 -8 10am until noon // Ages 8-12 1pm until 3pm. Ages 4 & 5 must be accompanied by an adult.
Week 1-June 13th- 17th Art in the Garden with Jeff Menzer.
Week 2- June 20th-24th Dive Under the Sea Art with Samantha Strathy.
Week 3- June 27th- July 1st POP into Art with Samantha Strathy.
Cost is $75 for non-members per week, $65 for Friends members per week.
SUMMER MUSIC and DRAMA CAMP July 18 -22nd with Amalie Henson This camp is for students entering 3rd grade through 7th grade. $75 non-members per week, $65 Friends members per week.
YOGA on-going Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-6:30 pm w/ Dawn Reynolds. FOR ADULTS OF ALL AGES/GENDERS Mats and/or chairs will be provided to those who need them. Call to join in on the six week session now underway. $65 non-members, $60 members. Rates will be prorated for partial sessions.
HOMESTEADING WORKSHOP, Saturday, May 14th 10 am until 1 pm w/Amy Barr.
Join the wonderful movement gaining traction in our country. Learn to live a more sustainable, healthier lifestyle by starting your own homestead. Learn skills such as amending soil, gardening basics, choosing animals, care of animals, making products from farm animals. Cost:$35 non members, $30 members
BARN QUILT CLASS Saturday, June 4th 10-2pm w/ Carol Mitchell. Participants will be painting their own 2 ft x2 ft barn quilt with help and instruction. Great for gifts, to hang on barns, garages, sheds, or man caves! All materials are included for this make and take class. $70 non-members, $65 members. Bring a bag lunch!
HERBAL REMEDIES and FORAGING CLASS Saturday, June 11th 10-1pm w/ Amy Barr. Get Back to Basics! Learn the identification of wild herbs growing at your own back door for first aid and other uses. This is a make and take class. Bring a bag lunch and outdoor shoes. $35 non-members, $30 members.
