The public is invited and admission is free however; everyone who attends is asked to bring canned goods or any non-perishable food items as a contribution to the Horizon Church Food Pantry Ministry. Horizon’s Food Pantry serves many Fifth Street Ministries “Transitional Housing” residents and other needy families in the Iredell/Statesville area.
“Folks may remember that past car shows were used as fundraisers to purchase a church van for outreach.” said event coordinator, Jada Thompson. “We’re trusting God to bless this Cruise-In fundraiser to bring in the resources needed for other projects and ministries we feel called to accomplish.”
Registration is free to Car, Bike and Truck owners who only wish to exhibit at the Cruise-In. Horizon is opening up this event to area businesses, and arts & crafts vendors for $40 per space. Other sponsorship opportunities are also available. Charles Williams, founding pastor at Horizon Church wholeheartedly endorses the event noting, “I’ve been riding motorcycles since I was a teenager and classic bikes and cars are a great passion of mine. We are using this somewhat unconventional event to reach out to the community and hopefully meet some new people,” He continues, “Our goal is to show everyone the love of Christ through this event and the other ministries of Horizon Church… as our tagline says, it is truly ‘A Place For New Beginnings.’
