Hudson, NC – The Town of Hudson announces its upcoming dinner theatre schedule for the next couple of years.
QUILTERS – This summer, June 22, 23, 24, 25, 2023, for one weekend only, the musical “Quilters” will be presented. This award winning show has been cast, rehearsals are underway and tickets are on sale. “Quilters” tells of the trials and challenges of women on the frontier in the 1800s as they piece together a quilt.
ON GOLDEN POND – The 2023 fall production will be the classic “On Golden Pond.” Performance dates are October 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21. The show delves into a summer vacation on a lake in Maine, as Norman and Ethel ponder, contemplate and accept their golden years and the consequences. Many will remember the movie starring Katherine Hepburn and Henry Fonda.
THE MIRACLE WORKER – Next spring brings “The Miracle Worker,” another award winning play; this show is about Helen Keller and her formative years with her teacher, Annie Sullivan. Both the Broadway play and movie version starred Patty Duke and Anne Bancroft. Show dates are March 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30, 2024.
THE LAST ROMANCE – The summer production for 2024 will be the touching and funny, “The Last Romance,” a comedy/drama that shows that it is never too late to form a relationship. Performance dates are June 26, 27, 28, 29, 2024.
MY FAIR LADY – The fall of 2024 brings the classic Lerner and Loewe musical about Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins and is sure to please with such classical musical selections as: Get Me To The Church On Time, I Could Have Danced All Night, I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face, On The Street Where You Live, he Rain In Spain, Wouldn’t It Be Loverly. Performance Dates: October 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 2024.
9 TO 5 – The famous movie is now a Broadway play with music by the iconic Dolly Parton! Performance dates: April 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 2025.
SAY GOODNIGHT, GRACIE – “Say Goodnight, Gracie” is one of the most popular, well attended one man shows in theatre history! This show follows the life and career of George Burns, emphasizing his relationship with Gracie Allen. Show Dates: June 12, 13, 14 and 15, 2025.
