Hickory – Calling all muggles! Patrick Beaver Memorial Library is hosting a Jeopardy style competition for kids of all ages in which all of the questions come from the beloved books of Harry Potter, written by J.K. Rowling. The friendly game show format offers a test of memory and wit, along with an opportunity to share with other fans of Hogwarts and the wizarding world.
Since the release of the first Harry Potter novel in 1997, the seven book series has found immense popularity, critical acclaim, and commercial success worldwide. As of February 2018, the books have sold more than 500 million copies worldwide, making them the best-selling book series in history, and have been translated into eighty languages.
The excitement begins at 6:30pm on Thursday, July 19.
Sign up to compete or simply come to cheer on your favorite champion. Registration can be done either at the children’s desk in the library or through the event calendar on the library’s website at www.hickorync.gov/content/library-events.
This program is free and open to the public. Patrick Beaver Memorial Library is located at 375 3rd Street NE on the SALT Block.
