Greetings my fellow Americans! Perhaps fellow earthlings or planetary prisoners would be more appropriate. We do not country discriminate. However, of those who fall under the flag we must ask- “Are you feeling independent today?” Cause today (or yesterday-reading time pending) is (or was) the day for it. To eliminate further past-present confusion, let’s pretend you’re reading on the publication date of July 4th.
So are you going to go out in the 100+ degree weather. Fire up the BBQ. Then stand near a fire whilst devouring overcooked meat biproducts and consuming alcoholic beverages that dehydrate you? Seriously, why don’t people barbecue in the winter?
Wait, looks like someone started early with a bit of drink-fishing. So, what do we have here… Ozark camp chair around= $38.95, Zebco 33 spin-cast rod-n-reel= $29.99, Arctic Zone, 40 can soft sided, hard-lined cooler= $25.84 and several empty Jägermeister 56 vodka bottles =$20+ a bottle. Wow that’s a lot of money to blow on… LITTERING!!!
The chair collapsed in the shallows (see photo), the coolers floating offshore (too far for photo), the rod in the campfire remains (I took it) and the bottles… scattered everywhere (see photo). WTF people? But to be fair it didn’t do much to discredit the landfill…err -scape. So… WTF people?
It’s hard to say what’s worse- the wasted money- the waste or the living litter. Yeah… that last one hmmm. Found two itty bitty kitties atop a stump at shoreline (see photo) curled up together for comfort and warmth. Rescue attempts were made and futile. With them disappearing into the brush at the approach of another one of those strange bipeds that had thrown them from a moving car. Ya know it’s hard to commune with unnaturally placed nature when it’s scared of you or buried under a pile of trash!
But nobody cares. Yes, let’s go and enjoy some nature and f*** it up real good by leaving our leavings. Do you not think you might want to come back? Do you not consider others who may want to share what’s there for all of us to enjoy? Are you too stupid to know how a trashcan works??? Well figure it out before you ruin what’s left of this world for everyone else and yourself! LITTERING IS STUPID- STOP DOING IT- THEN DON’T DO IT AGAIN!
